The purpose of this class is:
The long-term (2 trimester) goal of this class is to achieve A+ certification, an industry recognized indication of competence. This will require a significant effort with substantial reading and study done outside of class time. The certification tests are performed at a testing center in Portland and cost approximately $140.00 per test (2 required for certification).
Each class is usually composed of three segments. The first section is a introduction to a concept or technique. The second is hands-on application. The third will be test prep/quizzing using a variety of techniques.
Students are encouraged to bring material or projects for independant study. Time will be available provided the effort furthers the objectives of this class.

Grading is based on project completion, class participation, completion of written assignments.
