Course Description

Content

This will be a hands-on course which will include:

• Overview of Basic Hardware/Software for personal computers
• Internet Basics which will include history and structure
• File organization on a PC
• Using Native HTML
• Word
• PowerPoint
• Excel
• Fireworks (graphics editing)
• Flash for animation (if enough time remains)
• Using HTML Code Generators (if enough time remains)

There will be a heavy focus on presentations to each other and the public and technical vocabulary.

Assessment - Course evaluation will be based primarily on a portfolio model. Students will be required to complete a series of projects over the course of the class.
