Creating Hotspots

Create or import images that you want to place hotspots on.

Click on the hotspot tool (next to the slice tool.

You have three choices: Drawing rectangles, Drawing squares or drawing freeform.

Draw the hotspots. As you complete them, the area that will be "hot" turns light blue.

If you want to convert an entire object to a hotspot:

Select the object

Click on Insert, Hotspot.

Modifying Hotspots

Move a hotspot by clicking and dragging the hotspot.

Reshape a hotspot by grabbing an anchor point and dragging it.

Change a hotspot shape by selecting the hotspot and selecting a new shape in the Object panel.

Assigning Hotspot Attributes

Select the hotspot

Open the Object panel

Enter the URL that you wish to link to.

Enter Alt text and a target if you wish.

Saving a hotspot image

Complete the hotspots

Select File, Export

Give the document a name and set any other attributes on the window.

This creates an html page as well as graphics. HTML may be cut from this page or this page may be modified to include any other content.
